"What with the stupid wood themed background?"Wood working is on of my favorite, though sadly neglected, hobbies. After getting a house in 2002, and finally having a basement in which to have my "Laborrrratory of Eeeeeeevil", I started bringing home toys from Church(1). It started innocently enough.. Little things to use in doing improvements to the house, but well.. it's grown. My current project is the demolition of my deck and the construction of a screened in porch, to keep the little guy safe from the vampires the locals mistake for mosquitos.

The Kitchen Chef's Table
This was a fun project. We wanted to get a chef's table for the kitchen, priced out what we wanted and said, "wtf?"
Click the picture for more pictures of it being made.
The Cat Houses
Yup - cat houses.---
Check it out - they actually use them, too!
Nobody was more surprised than me...

1 - I should probably explain what "Church" is here. See.. I'm not an overly religious person. I think faith is a great thing and a wonderful quality, but I think religion gives it a really bad name. All the same - people need some place to go, to get back in touch with their faith, to shed away the troubles and weight of the world, and see the way to better times and to better carry the weight. For me.. that is Home Depot. Maybe it's a home owner thing, but I know I always feel better after strolling around in Home Depot for a bit and saying "Hi" to the salesreps.
2 - That would be the impulse to buy things from Chuch.
