Michael

"Hate the game, not the playa'."

Liberty - She's had a hard time lately.
Try to keep in mind she's a gift from the French, btw.
Name: Michael J. Nordberg
Born: From my mother... Oh.. Tauton, MA - 1971.
Raised: In Attleboro, MA, appropriately bordering Plainville, which was formerly named Slackville. (No... really.)
Height: 6' 0"
Weight Weight? That's pretty arbitrary, don't you think? Relying upon gravity, and all? Why not use a more scientific measurement, like mass? *geesh*
Build: Mostly complex carbon chains.
Currently Residing: A lovely 4/2 on half an acre in a little suburb of Atlanta named Tucker, GA. We're a little closer to the freaky, Deliverance-esque things you would expect to find in a backwards, bible-thumping state like Georgia, but we're still close enough to Atlanta to enjoy things. It's that part of GA where people drive trucks, but there's not a single scratch in the back bed. ;)
Profession: I have yet to find a title that really makes sense, other than to call myself a technologist. I keep myself busy with many facets of Computer and Informational Science, which is an incredibly wide field. On the bright side - I never get bored.
Boxers or Briefs: Well.. I'm married now, so no need to be advertising that... ;)
Love Life: Mrs. Dotty Nordberg.
Music: Pretty damn diverse. I once kept a listing of what I listen to, but now that MP3's are available through many news servers, I get to sample a far wider range of music than before. You also have to weed through things like the soundtrack to Xanadu, and the ever popular re-re-re-re-re-posting of "The Hobbit" audio book.
Drink of Choice: Drink? As in singular? Please.... Bass ale, Guinness, Samuel Adam, clean tequila, Tanquery & tonic, australian merlot and shiraz wines, german Gewürztraminer, Johannisberg Riesling.
Food of Choice: Kielbalska, Brikset and pretty much anything else in the realm of meat and potatoes. Most sushi, excluding sea urchin. Americanized Thai food.
Coffee: Strong and black like my... oh wait... wrong line. Kenya, Sumatra, Blue Mountain AAA (a former web hosting customer at MindSpring would send some in as a "thanks"), and most dark blends. Sadly, 2002 and 2003 have been stressful years, and I'm down to decaf these days - it's a hollow and spiritually void experience.
Operating System: The many flavors of UNIX: Solaris, Linux, Digital Unix/Tru64, FreeBSD, etc... For the most part I play games on Windows, do work on Linux, and keep production services happy and running on Solaris.
Religion: Homer Simpson: "Stealing! How could you? Haven't you learned anything from that guy who gives those sermons at church? Captain whats-his-name?"
---
Homer: "They say it is ok in the bible."
Lisa: "Really? Where?"
Homer: "Some where in the back."
---
Homer: (praying) "Dear Lord, the gods have been good to me. As an offering, I present these milk and cookies. If you wish me to eat them instead, please give me no sign whatsoever... thy bidding will be done (munch munch munch)."
Political Affiliation: The party that lies, but has the good intentions, ummm.. I forget its name. Ask me again next leap year.
Transportation: Yamaha Virago XV1000 1985. Yeah.. the motorcycle is dead. :( It's very sad. What's worse is the way in which it died - it was plowed over and mangled in a parking lot. Given that it was over 15 yrs old and was rusting out, I decided to let it pass. I now drive a Nissan Altima - practical and fun, and handles rain _so_ much better than a motorcycle - it's truly amazing.
Piercings: One ear, one nose. The nose ring healed over. I had a crappy job at Lanier, where I had to take it out while I was at work - I would keep forgetting to place it back in and well - it healed over. I'm up to two pierced ears now, however. ;)
Pets: Living: One adorably, cute cat named Mietzie.
Past1: Cairn Terrier - "Goodie" (I didn't name her.)
Cause of Death1: Father (circa 1980) ran her over. Yes I'm still bitter.
Past2: Rose Tarantula - "Nope." (Yeah, I did name her.)
Cause of Death1: A tramautic case of Age.
